This jacket is not only a once-off love affair. With cropped jackets and leather-like jackets being a big hit this season on the Autumn/Winter runways, we've seen them stylishly pictured on the fabulous shoulders of celebrities including Nicole Richie, Katie Cruise, Taylor Momsen from Gossip Girls, Jennifer Aniston and Vanessa Hudgens.
The thing we like most about this cropped leather jacket trend is the fact that it looks good with everything! It seems like no matter what you are wearing, the jacket will mould itself with your outfit, adding a bit of edge and funk to whatever it touches. Nicole Richie shows us how she wears her cropped jacket with maxi dresses and innocent white cocktail dresses. She manages to make the maxi dress look more 'autumn and cool' whilst Taylor Momsen makes the white cocktail dress look more 'dressy and less virginal'.
Jennifer Aniston and Vanessa Hudgens wore their cropped jackets on the red carpet, again showing the versatility of this jacket... if it's walked the red carpet then its good enough for us! Jennifer wore hers over a strapless grey maxi dress at the premiere of her movie, Marley & Me. Vanessa Hudgens wore hers with a layered ruffle mini dress, adding texture and a 'toughness' that adds edge to her style.
